Roles and Responsibilities
What are we looking for!
The Lead QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and scalability of software products through both manual and automated testing. The role focuses on developing and maintaining automated test frameworks, improving the test automation architecture, and supporting Scrum teams in the design, development, and execution of test cases.
Must-Have Skills:
- Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining Selenium automation frameworks from scratch, including TestNG and Maven integration.
- Solid experience in REST API testing using Postman and Rest Assured.
- Practical experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and GIT for source code management.
- Ability to design and implement automation test strategies, create test plans, and work effectively within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong understanding of test case design, defect management, cross-browser testing, and UI/UX validation.
Good to Have Skills:
- Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber for writing feature files and implementing behaviour-driven test automation.
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter to validate application stability and scalability.
- Strong SQL knowledge with experience in validating backend data and performing database testing to ensure data integrity.
Qualifications Required
- 9+ years of QA experience across software development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
- Framework development from scratch, test script creation, and execution.
- Experience with REST API testing (Postman, Rest Assured) and tools like Jenkins, Maven, TestNG, and Git.
- Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum, cross-browser testing, UI validation, and complete test documentation.
- Excellent collaboration, organisational, and team coordination abilities.
Skills and Experience Required
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should have good work experience in:
- Deliver high-quality testing (manual and automation)
- Maintain and assist with the development of the test automation architecture and frameworks.
- Designing and Implementing Test Automation Strategy.
- Support the scrum teams in the design, development, and execution of test cases and test automation, ensure coverage and completeness of testing as per defined doneness criteria, and maintain both manual and automated tests within the Sprint timelines.
- Understanding and Analysing Test Requirements.
- Creating Automation Test Plans and getting approvals.
- Creating, Organising, and Managing Test Automation Resources.
- Creating, enhancing, debugging, and Running Test Scripts.
- Organising and monitoring the defect management process.
- Identifying solutions for Object Identification issues and error handling issues.
- Ensure scalability of automation and continuous integration across the solution. You will also document test execution issues and deliverables.
- Any AI-based product and AI-based projects experienced as a Lead QA Engineer is an added advantage.
